NECRON

1981-1985

After the efforts of Milady Magnus asked Barbieri to give him a story to draw. This time Barbieri offered him a series of screenplays by Ilaria Volpe: Necron.

La Volpe was inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein to create the character Necron. Created by the necrophiliac Dr. Frieda Boher, Necron’s brain comes from a crazy writer of horror comic books. He is very well endowed to satisfy the doctor’s sexual demand and He’s very fond of eating raw human flesh and live animals.

The indecencies that follow in the episodes of the series are incredible but the humorous touch of Magnus dilutes their cruelty.

With Necron Magnus experiences the style of “the clear line” that he would follow from then on.
